This project was a two-part exploration: the design of a functional book cover and a promotional poster for the author.

The dust jacket centers on the concept of identity and self-discovery, using fingerprint-based typography to physically embed the idea of individuality into the type itself. A mixed media collage forms the silhouette, visually tracing the relationship between the head and the heart and the internal journey between them.

The promotional poster expands the visual world of the book, allowing for more expressive experimentation. Handwritten typography introduces a more personal tone, while compositing techniques place the book within the character’s hands to create a sense of narrative realism. A departure from my usual color palette pushed the piece into a new visual space, ultimately strengthening the overall mood and impact of the design.
